We got him from the Breeze-Ups as a two-year-old and he’s had lots of sorts of niggly issues all the way through. He seems to have come right now, and he won well at Ascot last time. We are just monitoring him at the moment and we’ve currently no actual plans.

He is obviously a brother to Perfect Power, and he’s been good to us. He will probably run at Epsom on Saturday. He likes the track and ran well there last year. He is suited by good ground, and we also have him in the Wokingham but I’d imagine he would go for the Buckingham Palace. He is a decently rated horse, and he gets in all those big races.

Golden Strike won well at York the other day. He’s a funny horse that just needs landing on the line and doesn’t like to be in front too soon. Oisin (Orr) rode him perfectly and digging through his pedigree, he is out of a Galileo mare, so he will probably stay further. We might step him up on his next run.

Havana Rum has been a star - he didn’t show a lot early on, but he just keeps improving. He’s a horse that needs burying in his races and needs to be ridden for a bit of luck. He can run in all these valuable handicaps and he will win something.

He’s another horse that’s improved a lot this year. He ran well at Doncaster first time out and probably went too quick and then he won at Pontefract. He runs at Epsom on Friday.

Trainer says

It took us a long time to get him right last year but Powerful Glory, thankfully, did come right in the British Champions Sprint. He made his reappearance at the Curragh but was probably just a little ring rusty. I think Ascot is a track that suits him a lot and he goes for the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes. Hopefully, he can end up in the British Champions Sprint Champions Sprint again, but we might try him over seven furlongs at some stage. We will see how we go first but he’s a very relaxed horse and I imagine he will get seven.

He is a strange sort of horse as he has his own mind about life. He has an awful lot of ability, and I don’t think he likes to be crowded in his races. He is entered at Ascot, but I don’t think he will get in.

Trainer says

Rock Opera had been running well but he hadn’t won for two years until successful at Pontefract on Tuesday. He did it nicely in the end - we took the headgear off and put a different jockey on him just trying to find the improvement he needed. The one thing I noticed in the race was that he travelled a lot better than he normally does. They went a nice gallop and he’s a horse that needs to be ridden from behind, so the race set up nicely for him.

He’s been an old star. He didn’t win last year but he got loads of prize money and was second down at Goodwood. He won at Leicester early on and he ran at Thirsk the other day but it probably all happened a little bit away from him and when he came to make his run there was a wall of horse falling back on him and he never really got the breaks. He probably won’t get in at Ascot, but he is probably on the right side of the handicapper at the moment.

Arabian Desert has been a fraction disappointing this year, but he did have a high testicle and was a rig. I think that has been bothering him, hence the bad runs, and he has been gelded. We will get him back going again and make a plan from there.

She is a very good looking and very well-bred filly. We were a fraction disappointed with her run at Ripon when she finished second as we thought she should have been more competitive with the winner. Rowan just felt the track probably didn’t suit her at Ripon and he sort of lost her balance on the ridges. She runs at Wetherby on Thursday.

He has disappointed in his two starts this season but ran his best race in the Harry’s Half Million at York last August and he is another going for the big sprint on Charity Day. He suffered from stomach ulcers, so we have treated them and hope that he gets back to where he was. He’s a horse with an awful lot of natural speed.

Lunar Melody is probably the best-looking filly I have seen in my life. She’s gorgeous and she ran well on her reappearance at Doncaster where she probably needed that race a little bit. We went up to Carlisle fairly confident, but the ground was quite soft that day and she has more speed that we gave her credit for. I think she is a six-furlong filly

He did well last year for a big backward horse and then won on his reappearance at Redcar. He ran well in the Derby Trial at Chester, and he is a horse that is going to get better as he gets older. He will go to Ascot for either the Queen’s Vase or the King George V Handicap and I’m sure that he is going to just keep on improving. It would be nice to win something with him this year but he’s the sort of horse you’d be even more excited about next year

Proud Nation won a maiden at York last Autumn. We took him up to Hamilton and we were a little bit disappointed, but the plan is to go back to York on June 13 for the same race as Invincible Boy

“He is a horse we felt a hell of a lot about at two and he had only the one start and was beaten by a decent horse. He hasn’t been straightforward and has had lots of little niggles but nothing serious. We ran him over five furlongs on his return which we knew would be too sharp for him, but we just needed to get a run into him on a decent safe track. There are no plans at the moment but he’s just very immature and when he grows out of those niggly issues he’s going to be a nice horse.

We thought he was a real nice horse when we bought him as a yearling in Ireland, but he just never thrived last year for whatever reason. He’s back to being the yearling we bought, and he won well at Doncaster. He’s a horse that stays well and looking forward to seeing how he progresses.

He had won two this year and got a race given to him from December. He’s a very simple straightforward horse and quite happy to make the running but he doesn’t have to. He is very versatile and should have plenty of racing in him.

He is a horse didn’t to himself last year, but he is a good, shaped horse and I think he may want further than what we’ve been running over. He is still very baby-ish but I can imagine as he matures, he will start to improve.

We bought him from Tom Whitehead in the Breeze-Ups. We actually trained his mother Barbanera and she was not a bad filly. She was placed in the Guineas Trial at Newbury. He won well first time out at Newcastle, and we thought he would run a big race at Beverley but, unfortunately, things just didn't go to plan. I’d like to put a line through that race and I’m not sure where we go next with him but he’s a very straightforward and honest horse.

He’s a lovely big horse and a two-year-old with quite a lot of stamina in his pedigree He’s a horse that is going to keep on improving as he gets further and gets older. We got it in our heads that it was a two-horse race that day and, having beaten what we thought was our main rival, set up it up for Persian Land. He qualified for the Windsor Castle so we will probably go there with him.

Richard Brown bought her from the Breeze-Ups for us and we took her up to Ayr to take on a hotshot of Karl Burke’s and just wanted to get a run into her. That set her up nicely for the Hilary Needler which she won well and she’ll go to Ascot, whether it is the Queen Mary or Albany I’m not sure at this stage.

He is a horse that’s physically done really well since we bought him at Doncaster. He ran well on his first start, and we got tempted to run him over five furlongs on his second start because the race looked like it was cutting up. He will be back over six furlongs next time and you would be looking forward to it.

He is a horse we bought at the Craven Breeze-Ups. He came back a bit light and took a little bit of time to fill his frame again but has come into his own now. We took him to Chester, and he won very well from a bad draw after receiving a few bumps early on in the race. The race probably didn’t go ideally for him, but he still managed to win and that is the sign of a good horse. We like him a lot and Ascot is probably going to be on the radar, whether it be the Coventry or the Norfolk.

Whispering Moon is a horse with a very stout pedigree and I kept tell the owners he probably wouldn’t run until the backend. He did a piece of work on the grass a couple of weeks ago and it took us all a little by surprise so rather than working him at home we thought we would get a run into him. He was a bit green early but finished off very well in what look quite a competitive race. He is by Sea The Moon and is qualified for the Chesham. He is going to have to improve a lot, but it looks after his run that he has.
