Verdict
Elsass is a dual winner on the all-weather and attempts to break his duck on turf from 4lb higher than when scoring at Southwell last time. Humble Spark finished an encouraging second here recently and could be in the mix, but a chance is taken on the returning TIERNAN. The four-year-old showed plenty of ability last term, notably when a close third in a Listed race over C&D, and Iain Jardine's charge gets a speculative vote following wind surgery.
Expert View Verdict
Local trainer Jim Goldie is often worth siding with at this track, and HUMBLE SPARK looks capable of taking advantage of a handy mark after another solid effort here last time, improving on recent runs when beaten by a length and a half in second. Elsass returned to winning ways in determined fashion for Charlie Johnston at Southwell and is respected despite the higher rating. Urban Road shaped as though this longer trip could suit when finishing strongly for third over 10f at Redcar last time and is another to consider.
